Mass Effect Legendary Edition on Switch Hasn't Been Ruled Out By BioWare
The upcoming Mass Effect Legendary Edition will offer longtime fans and a new audience the chance to bask BioWare's acclaimed trilogy of sci-fi RPGs. Thankfully, we don't accept too much longer to wait with its recently-announced launch in May. While the drove is planned to launch on consoles and PC, BioWare may exist leaving some room for a Switch release, according to comments from one of the series' longtime creative heads.
Speaking withEurogamer, BioWare's Mac Walters gave some additional insight into the upcomingMass Effect Legendary Edition, which revamps the original trilogy with enhanced visuals and new features. On the question of whether theLegendary Edition could come to the Switch, Walters explained that BioWare'southward priority was to optimize the drove's release on consoles and PC. However, Walters stated that he'd "love it" if the collection could also come to Switch. He added that while the studio had a "path ready" for the platforms it volition exist on at launch, he left room for the studio to "sort of see where we're at" for a Switch release.
Initially, the long-rumoredMass Upshot collection was suggested to be coming to the Switch last year, but so far that hasn't panned out officially. With these rumors coming mostly from retail listings, there's no firm confirmation however that we'll be able to play the Mass Outcome on the go. However, Walters' comments go far articulate that the studio is at least considering the possibility that the title could make its way to Nintendo'southward handheld.
Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 14, 2022. The drove will too be playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
